AECOM International Development was awarded the USAID Lowland Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Activity, with the contract signed on December 1, 2015. It is a four-year activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to support increased access to improved drinking water supply sources and sanitation facilities on a sustainable basis; promote widespread adoption of key hygiene behaviors; improve efficiency and sustainability of food production from irrigated and rain-fed agricultural systems; and advance water resource governance and data management. AECOM and two main subcontractors: CARE and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) will implement this USAID activity.
