Mawel International FZCo is a Djibouti registered company with its base in the Djibouti Free Zone. Mawel International has wholly owned subsidiaries in Ethiopia, Djibouti, SomaliLand and Mogadishu.
Alvima Import, Export & Manufacturing Plc, is one of the subsidiaries of Mawel Group operating in Ethiopia. Alvima is opening a new flour and pasta manufacturing plant in Adama town deploying state of the art Sweden technology to enable the company to produce the food items without human contacts. The aim is to produce high quality pasta and wheat flour to substitute imports in Ethiopia. The factory is successfully commissioned and has already started production of wheat flour and pasta at the anticipated level of quality.
