About CNFA-Ethiopia

The Commercial Farm Service Program (CFSP) is a 24-month, $2 MM program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Innovative Fund for Ethiopian Agriculture (IFEA).  As a pilot program, CFSP adapts CNFA’s proven Farm Service Center (FSC) model to the Ethiopian context for the first time and is working to create six viable input supply FSCs in Ethiopia’s Oromia regional state.  The six private and cooperative-owned FSCs provide a complete range of high quality inputs, services, information and output marketing linkages to reach more than 30,000 Ethiopian smallholders, enabling them to take the leap from subsistence to commercial production.

CFSP uses a matching grants facility to establish six private, retail input supply and farm service businesses to serve as an innovative model for scaling up private farm supply and service networks in Ethiopia and throughout Africa.
