African Development Aid Association (ADAA), a non-for-profit non-government organization (NGO), evolved from Berhan Children’s Home, a small orphanage founded in 1988 G.C. ADAA, established by a group of concerned Ethiopians, was aimed at contributing its share of mitigating the severe famine that hit the county in 1984/85 G.C. Its mission was to develop the capacities of poor communities to become empowered and self-reliant through integrated community development programs.
