About World Food Program (WFP) The World Food Programme (WFP) is United Nations frontline agency in the fight against hunger, WFP is continually responding to emergencies. We save lives by getting food to the hungry fast. On average, WFP aims to bring food assistance to more than 80 million people in 80 countries. WFP also works to help prevent hunger in the future through dynamic programmes that help build capacities of nations responding in a stronger way. This helps communities become more food secure.
 
The Food management Improvement Project (FMIP) is one of WFP flagship programme working to build capacities. One such component of the project, is the provision of Supply Chain and Logistics Training to different stakeholders within the Ethiopian Supply Chain sector. Through this project WFP aims to contribute to Ethiopia’s five-year development agenda, the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) by building the needed skill sets succeed in the fight against hunger.
