Course Description
A highly interactive course designed for those in the public and private sectors in Ethiopia interested in gaining an overview of basic and appropriate logistics and supply chain management topics. The course is a joint initiative between the World Food Programme Ethiopia Country Office (WFP) and The Kuehne Foundation.
Methodology
Besides the course handouts, theory will be supported by real-case examples at international standards and show relevance and application in the local context. Prior to certification, participants will be provided with a case study and are expected to develop a reasonable and justifiable solution to be presented to the instructors by using the ideas, concepts and the theories discussed during the seminar.
Certification
Certificate is awarded by the Kuehne Foundation and accredited by the German Academy for Foreign Trade and Logistics (DAV) + the Kuehne Logistics University (KLU).

Course Prerequisites
Target Audience
This course is designed for those working in the public and private sectors interested in gaining a comprehensive overview of logistics and supply chain management topics. Specifically, it is relevant to those new to the logistics function or those who have worked in the function for sometime, but have not previously undertaken formal training.
Selection Criteria
•University degree in logistics, business administration, economics, accounting or related fields
•Employment contract with an organization involved in logistics and supply chain management activities in Ethiopia
•Applicants will need to pass an interview to test their level of English language knowledge as course will be conducted in this language and also assess existing logistics knowledge
•Application and Commitment forms completed by the candidate’s supervisor/employer.
