In today’s increasingly complex business environment, project professionals need to be knowledgeable in all phases of the project life cycle, from the early phase of acquisition to the last phase of product delivery to the client. Among them, Project Procurement and acquisitions professionals must keep many things in mind, including contractual issues between the buyer and seller or between the developer and client or consultant. Contracting officers, Purchasing Managers, and Subcontractors are often among the players who play a vital role in achieving the overall project success.
This workshop is designed for officers, and executives involved in the procurement and contracting procedures in order to increase their knowledge of essential concepts in Project Procurement, Contracting and successful Negotiation for resources, services and goods. The program covers procurement concepts, contracting procedures including contract formation, make-or-buy decisions, the acquisition process, functions of contract administration, effective contract negotiations, and contract closeout. By getting a hold of these concepts they can ensure project success with reduced risks and costs.
Program Methodology
The methodology used is designed to encourage maximum participation by all delegates. The presenter will suggest ideas and theories to the delegates and then encourage them to test out the ideas by the use of discussion, small group work, exercises and feedback. Each day of the seminar will end by delegates completing their own record of what has been learned on the day and considering how the ideas might be transferred back to the workplace.
