The overall goal of the project is to increase the incomes of Ethiopian smallholder livestock producers by improving access to, and use of, consistent, affordable, high quality animal feed that can support greater livestock productivity and efficiency.

Job Summary:
Administrative:
Execute the overall administrative, receptionist and secretarial activities of the FEED II regional office.
Keep record and update inventory of FEED II fixed assets in accordance with guidelines
Organize travel itineraries, arrangements for conferences, meetings and other functions;
Supervise project office’s vehicle assignment, mileage log keeping, fuel supply and regular maintenance;
Assist the Regional Coordinator in preparation of periodic reports
Track, account for and report on in-kind contributions of host/partner organizations;
Accounting:
Handle checks and other related documents.
Handle regional office’s petty cash fund and procure consumable items as per ACDI/VOCA procurement procedures;
Ensure that on all payment vouchers, supporting documents are attached, reference written on each supporting document, signatures are not missing before submission to Addis Ababa Office for further action;
Effect per diem payments to trainees, training/workshop participants, facilitators and facilitate all financial matters of project in the region, etc.
For every payment and collections pass the necessary entry and code based on Chart of Accounts.
Regularly handle advance settlement and ensure that long outstanding advances are liquidated without further delay
Effect payment after making sure that procedures stipulated in the financial manual are met in full;
Prepare monthly expense reports with reference to particular expense line items and activities for which those expenses were incurred; and
Keep track of void checks
Degree in Accounting
4 years of work experience in a related field (in admin and finance).
Previous experience with US Government-funded projects preferred.
Communications skills.
Fluency in Amharic, regional language and English required.
