Christian Horizons Ethiopia/CHE is an International, Development Oriented Implementing Non- Government Organization serving persons with exceptional needs in Oromia National Regional state since 1992. From the small beginnings of caring for six orphans living in a group setting from Asella town, the organization has now grown to expand its services to Arsi, Bale, and West Arsi Zones.

CHE has made multi disciplinary project agreements on various thematic issues with Oromiya Regional and Zonal Bureau/Offices of Finance and Economic Development, and Women and Children Affairs. The project is guided by our thematic programmatic work in the areas of children’s services, basic education, adult literacy, adult and youth skills training, Special needs education, self help saving and credit group (SHSCG) promotions in its nominated districts in Arsi and Bale Zones.
The Arsi Robe Project Coordinator supports the Education & Traiing and Children’s Services Program mManagers in project management and strengthening the collaboration with different sectoroffices, partners in order to facilitate and support involvement with relevant sector offices of seven districts under Arsi Robe Program Coordination Office. S/he will contribute to increasing CHE’s influence regarding child rights, values of education, disability, literacy, women empowerment, and unemployment in the area. The position holder will support the representation of CHE in various meetings with key stakeholders, such as zone, districts staffs, and kebele levels.
The Project Coordinator directly reports to CHE Children Service Program Manager,and also works closely with other Program Managers and collaborates with Administrative staffs.
The purpose of the Project Coordinator (PC) position is to to ensure that design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all programs/projects are in accordance with CH Ethiopia’s mission, strategic objectives and program approaches and to address underlying causes of vulnerability to poverty, illiteracy and community development. The PC coordinates programmatic, financial, managerial and reporting requirements associated with all programs/projects to ensure CHE is in compliance with donor and Government of Ethiopia requirements. In collaboration with the CHE technical team, she/he develops plans for enhancing field office capacity to carry out its development plan and to draw lessons for increasing project impact and sustainability. She/he establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key government partners and NGOs, CBOs/CSOs/FBOs, Private & Government Institutions and Associations working in the same geographic areas.
