USAID’S building the potential of youth program is a five year USAID funded program that promotes opportunities for young Ethiopians to positively contribute to the betterment of society. Having the youth aged 15-29 in rural areas and towns as key target group, the program plans to directly reach 34,537 Ethiopian youth in six regions, helping them escape the cycle of poverty.
Save the Children seeks professional individuals or companies who want to work with Save the Children in developing software that can be linked with OneDrive, where a cloud storage system integrated with SCI email and can be used as a storage place for any relevant information that will be provided to youth. The system should able to work both offline and online where the youth can access it from monitor linked with one server through thin client.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Interested applicants are expected to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of increasingly responsible experience, in developing software application including experience in successfully managing various projects.
- Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree with Software development/ programming or relevant certificate
- Who have license to work in this specific area
- Who are certified in program developing will have advantage
How to Apply
The complete TOR for the required services can be collected in person from the Save the Children Office (address below) during working hours between 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. starting from October 11, 2016 to October 31, 2016.
Interested applicants should submit their proposals signed and stamped in two (2) separately sealed envelopes; clearly marked “Technical proposal”, “Financial Proposal – Original”.
Technical proposals should include a copy of renewed Business License, and the curriculum vitae of the proposed professional(s) with supporting document. Past work experience, Educational Background and Human resource capacity.
Financial proposals should include professional fees on the basis of daily rates, VAT and per diem costs, as well as transport costs separately for the stated work as shown in the TOR part 9. Price offers must be submitted in local currency - Ethiopian Birr (ETB)
All Tender Responses must be submitted in person through the aforementioned address by November 1, 2016, 4:30 P.M.
All tender responses will be opened by the Committee at its own discretion. Save the Children reserves the right to accept or reject the entire or partial part of this bid
