Purpose of the role
To identify, build and manage the networks and partnerships needed by Farm Africa’s BRACED programme to generate the knowledge, ideas and proposals for the effective and high quality planning, implementation and adaption of its specified, innovative products and work areas (including knowledge management products), including the generation, analysis and use of ideas and knowledge from within the consortium and outside, translating those into operational planning and implementation, and the identification and dissemination of progress and results for awareness, influencing and profile-building.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The HIPD is the BRACED programme’s national point of contact for partners, donors, sub-contractors, consultants and other stakeholders in respect of the planning, implementation, monitoring, development and evaluation of several specific programme projects which will be handled mostly at national rather than field level. S/he will grow, manage and co-ordinate the network(s) and contacts to build interest in the programme, and attract ideas and suggestions for its ongoing development and its potential to bring important lessons and change to the wide development sector.
