Job Purpose: to act as a bridge between customers and the Factory to ensure customer orders are serviced to meet/exceed customer expectations in the areas of fabric development, sample development, and bulk production; provide the support required for effective pre-production preparation, fabric control, Material sourcing, Production planning, Quality Assurance, Final inspection and the creation of a customer-driven mindset throughout the Factory in support of the Factory’s overall performance and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers on production progress and responding to customer queries
Coordinate development of samples
Order materials for production and resolve material problems
Follow up and monitor the sample order production progress
Create a customer-driven mindset in the Factory
Foster effective cross-functional working relationship
Understand and live by the Company’s core values
Take accountability for growing and continuously improving oneself
Fabric Ordering; monitoring the ordered quantity based on historical order, best estimate YPD and the on-hand fabric inventory, and working with MM to agree on the order quantity
Fabric Problems; communicate with suppliers / Fabric Sourcing to resolve late-delivery problems
Special Customer Requirements:
assemble cross-functional teams to ensure new or special requirements for existing customers are properly understood and can be handled by the Factory.
Customer Engagement:
work with Senior CS Manager and SMM to monitor customer satisfaction and engagement, review with CS staff and implement continuous improvement programs.
Job Requirement
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with customer interface (Apparel Merchandising)
Language skills:
Written and spoken English a must
