PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Knowledge Management Advisor is responsible to identify, create, store and share knowledge to improve the quality of on-going Development Food Assistance Program. He/she will create knowledge through conducting surveys in terms of strategies, systems, approaches, all sectors proposed in the DFAP, etc. the job holder will be expected to carry out researches to identify knowledge and share the findings for program improvement. He/she is also responsible for undertaking researches related to food security, livelihood and nutrition in DFAP operational areas and support FH management in evidence-based decision making. He/she also undertakes desk review on the evolution of the government of Ethiopia poverty reduction and food security strategies, growth and transformation plan, and work towards aligning Title II programs with GoE strategies and policies. The position holder establishes strong linkage with regional and national level research centers, universities, private sectors etc. and serve as a platform for identifying improved/modern technologies and sharing with FH field offices. Last but not the least, the position holder is responsible for the overall knowledge management of DFAP through generating and documenting lessons, best practices, innovative ideas and sharing with DFAP implementing partners and the donor.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Result #1 – Identify and Conduct Researches in the Ongoing DFAP to create knowledge
Key Result #2 – Document the Evolution of the Government of Ethiopia Food Security and Poverty Reduction Strategies and Polices
Key Result #3 – Document USAID Development Guidelines/ Strategies/Polices
Key Result #4 – Establish Linkage with National and Regional Research institutions, Universities, Private Sectors etc.
Key Result #5 –DFAP Knowledge Management
Duration of Contract: One year contract (Renewable with 45 days probation period)
