Support the Chief of Party in overall management of the project
Provide technical oversight and leadership on issues related to livestock feed sector development (processed feed and forage), supply chain strengthening, and private sector partnership
Act as a key liaison with all implementing partners and stakeholders involved with the program.
Support the Chief of Party to represent the program and present its work regionally/globally to TechnoServe leadership, the donor, partners, and other stakeholders.
Support cross-cutting learning, leveraging insights across program components and from the broader TechnoServe portfolio.
Lead, manage and supervise delivery teams comprising long and short term team members and consortium partners.
Ensure high-quality monitoring and evaluation of program impact and timely submission of donor reports and deliverables.
In the absence of the Chief of Party, assume full responsibility for program management
Job Requirement
A master’s degree or equivalent in business, international development, economics, public policy, agricultural economics or other relevant field or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
At least 8 years of professional experience in international development, with a focus on relevant technical areas such as livestock feed sector development, private enterprise development, and climate smart agriculture
Experience leading and managing large teams with a high level of leadership, interpersonal, technical and analytical experience, as deputy chief of party or other program leadership role.
Prior experience working in emerging markets. Preference for 3+ years’ work experience in Ethiopia. Experience working in the livestock feed industry is highly desirable.
Prior work experience or collaboration with private sector companies and businesses.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of public and private sector counterparts and other key stakeholders.
Previous leadership roles in USDA, USAID, DFID or other bilateral-funded projects highly desirable.
