The Last Ten Kilometers 2020 Project-L10K 2020-implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. aims to contribute to the realization of SDGs related to reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) in Ethiopia. With the grant it receives from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID and UNICEF, L10K 2020 works in more than 200 woredas in Amhara, Tigray, SNNP and Oromia regions to ensure optimum coverage of high impact RMNCH interventions and contribute towards reducing maternal, newborn and child morbidity and mortality. Furthermore, JSI-L10K2020 USAID funded project is implementing immunization program aiming at increased demand for immunization services, improve quality of immunization services and strengthening the overall immunization system of prioritized zones by FMoH as part of the routine immunization improvement plan(RIIP). In order to effectively measure and inform implementation of the project, L10K2020 will be conducting facility and house hold survey in Awi zone of Amhara region, East Welega Zone of Oromia region, Benchmaji Zone, Gedio Zone and Yem Sp. Woreda of SNNP region, North West Tigray zone of Tigray region and Zone-3 of Afar regions. For this purpose the project is seeking data collectors to work as consultants.
I. Health facility and house hold level data collector
Required number: 26 (twenty six)
Place of Work: in woredas and Kebeles of the above specified zones and special woreda
Duration: 14 days
Responsibilities;
Collect health facility and household data (interview and record review) using mHealth
Work with the survey supervisors to develop the travel plan for visiting selected kebeles
check completeness of the enumeration and send the data to server
cross-check the household information with facility records
Required Qualifications and experience:
Diploma and above in public health, nurse or any public health related profession with more than two years of work experience in health facilities and above. Experience in immunization is an advantage
Experience in community and facility based surveys
Good interpersonal communication skills
Good understanding of English and local languages for the zones
Has experience in mobile data collection
