We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Manager who will lead and manage day-to-day Monitoring and Evaluation activities in this program. S/he will be responsible for enabling evidence-based decision-making processes by program leadership, providing the necessary data and information to improve performance and effectiveness and informing planning and management decisions. S/he will also be responsible for timely development and effective implementation of the program’s M&E systems, including program monitoring and quality control systems, evaluation systems (e.g. baseline and end line surveys), analytical planning processes, management of all project data, and oversight of a third party M&E service provider. S/he will enable the program to develop the most suitable interventions for the context, adapting to changing conditions and make mid-course corrections as necessary. More specifically, the duties and responsibilities of this position fall into three broad categories: 1) M&E Systems and Processes, 2) Coordination of M&E work through team and M&E Personnel Management, 3) Coordination with potential M&E partners and evaluation of Partners & Sub-contractors
Job Requirement
Qualifications in business, economics, statistics or international development-related studies required;
At least five years of experience with M&E methods and approaches, including designing, planning, and implementing M&E systems, analyzing and reporting using a logical framework and other strategic planning approaches
Have successfully completed at least three 3 monitoring missions and technical support to teams in the last five years.
Ability to develop well written, cohesive analyses and reports;
Strong analytical, program management, and financial analysis skills including knowledge of Excel and Stata;
Strong interpersonal and management skills required; Excellent oral and written communication skills a must;
Demonstrated understanding of and passion for economic empowerment and improvement of livelihoods.
Working proficiency in both English and Amharic required
