Call for Assessment
on Faith Based Organizations' Response in improving women and girls well being in Ethiopia
Background
Ethiopia is a highly religious country where more than 90 percent of its people are adherents to at least one religion. Religious institutions have significant influence over community members. They have strong grassroots structures, credibility, and capacity in mobilizing their constituents for development interventions; including health education and service delivery. Over the last decade, Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) in Ethiopia have made encouraging strides to improve the lives of women and girls at different levels.
With financial support of UNICEF, Norwegian Church Aid is interested to recruit a consultancy firm to assess the contribution of eight selected faith-based organizations towards improving the lives of women and girls. The assessment will serve as a baseline when it comes to engaging FBOs for future programing and will show case faith based organizations contribution nationally
