Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of staffs, visitors, consultants, partner to and from various destinations for business purposes and to assist them on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary.; to make pick-ups and deliveries of correspondence; to maintain all FHF Ethiopia motor vehicles and generators in good condition; and to observe the highest standards of discretion, integrity and personal conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Meeting transport needs for official purposes
Ø Keep vehicles and associated tools and equipment in good conditions and securely at all times.
Ø Maintain Official Vehicle Kit per FHF standards.
Ø Maintain motor vehicle movement logs and files.
Ø Report accidents on an immediate basis.
Ø Maintain vehicle maintenance schedule and follow up repairs accordingly
Ø Maintain adequate fuel levels in all FHF Ethiopia vehicles.
Ø Assist in dispatch and Delivery of correspondences.
Ø Perform other duties, as required to meet the objectives of the team.
Other Duties:
Ø Procurement – assist in collecting quotes from different suppliers as instructed by Logistic Officer.
Ø Perform liaising activities with government organizations, partners and other parties in terms of delivering or collecting messages, or performing other activities as instructed by Logistic Officer.
Ø Minimum valid 3rd grade driver license.
Ø Safe driving record.
Ø Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a driver, having a work experience in international non-governmental organizations will be added advantage.
Ø It will be added advantage to have experience of working in Eastern Oromia including all woredas of the zones of Oromia Regional State.
Ø Completion of Secondary School.
Ø Good Knowledge of Afaan Oromoo and Amharic and fair Knowledge of English language.
Ø Practical skills of basic automotive maintenance procedures and basic mechanics for petrol and diesel engines.
Ø Have a good knowledge of Ethiopian traffic regulations.
Ø Must successfully pass driving practical exam
