Aged and Children Pastoralist Association (ACPA) is national non-governmental, non-political and non-religious development organization registered with the federal government of Ethiopia. It had been operational since 2009.
ACPA invites qualified applicants for the project -Building resilience and creation of economic opportunities in Liben cluster under RESET II with an objective to strengthen economic opportunities and resilience of the most vulnerable communities to human –induced and natural crises, through measures that will increase livelihoods and employment, and better access to basic services, in Liben cluster which are known to be drought prone and food insecure.
1. To work closely with the Project Manager and team leader to design the project intervention strategies including needs assessment, plan, implementation, monitoring and evaluate.
2. Participate in the development of detailed project work plans which will guide the project implementation, this can be updated gradually in consultation with the project manager, team leader.
3. Develop work plan based on the project work plan in consultation with Project Manager.
4. Develop a good baseline for the project against which impact on children and the aged can be assessed
5. Work with woreda line department to identify the TOPS existing in the project intervention area and how to link them on financial service strengthening activities.
6. Work with your Project Manager , to identify ways to support people transitioning out of the pastoralism (TOP)
7. Sort out where the financial services strengthening has issues and develop strategies to address it in consultation with project manager
8. Provide technical support to target communities or actors during the implementation of the project's activities
9. Using the monitoring and evaluation systems developed, monitor project impact on the targeted communities as well collect best practices or lesson learned
10. Develop implementation strategies that ensure the achievement of the project's objectives in collaboration with project manager and other technical Project staffs
11. Any other relevant responsibilities based on project needs as well as required by your supervisors.
I. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
i. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Management
ii. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in NGO
iii. Ability and willingness to work multicultural diversity are greatly preferred.
II. Other Skills:
i. Fluent in at least the following languages: Somali and English.
ii. Curious, great problem-solving skills, unafraid to ask questions, and results motivated.
iii. Excellent communication, facilitation and networking skills with a wide range of actors across geographical areas
iv. Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
