Aged and Children Pastoralist Association (ACPA) is national non-governmental, non-political and non-religious development organization registered with the federal government of Ethiopia. It had been operational since 2009.
ACPA invites qualified applicants for the project -Building resilience and creation of economic opportunities in Liben cluster under RESET II with an objective to strengthen economic opportunities and resilience of the most vulnerable communities to human –induced and natural crises, through measures that will increase livelihoods and employment, and better access to basic services, in Liben cluster which are known to be drought prone and food insecure.
The value chain officer will report to the program coordinator in his /her respective office and with assisting the program unit in managing the implementation of the project activities including the identification of key private sector led interventions, development of functional linkages and networks in the area. S/he will also carry out value chain analysis to determine appropriate interventions into selected area
1. Assume responsibility for planning, implementing, monitoring, coordinating the implementation of the project.
2. Develop and support the preparation of detailed annual work plans, targets and budgets.
3. Carry out value chain analyses to determine appropriate interventions into the area.
4. Coordinate the identification of key private sector led project interventions to foster quantitative and qualitative improvements in the sector
5. Develop the linkages and networks required at regional level, and identify and implement appropriate measures for continued collaboration
6. Any other responsibilities assigned by the organization
Minimum three years of experience working with agribusiness sector development.
Good skills in managing the budget, program planning and implementation and external communication.
Working experience in an NGO.
Good analytical and report writing skills are required.
Bachelor Degree in agro-economics or agribusiness or post-harvest technology or relevant discipline.
Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Somali
