Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Quantification Adviser to assist Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency (PFSA). The candidate will be based in Addis Ababa; but, with frequent travels to regions. We are looking for individuals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others around the country. Job Requirement
Advanced degree in pharmacy, Public health, Medicine, Laboratory, Supply chain management, or related subjects; or combination of relevant education and experience.
Generally, five (5) years of work experience and at list three (3) years’ experience in demand forecasting and supply planning of medicines, diagnostic and other public health commodities.
Fluency in written and spoken English essential.
Demonstrated computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and other quantification tools required. Proven experience on Quantimed and Pipeline and other forecasting tools is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, communications skills, and ability to identify and resolve operational constraints required.
Flexibility in working and the ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of activities required.
Knowledge of Ethiopian public health sector and work experience in Ethiopia preferred.
Knowledge of PFSA system is an advantage.
Willingness and ability to travel within Ethiopia and internationally preferred
