Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Supply Chain Innovation Specialists (two positions) to be based at Addis Ababa. The Supply Chain Innovation Specialist is responsible for identifying, managing and implementation of new supply chain initiatives at FMOH/PFSA. S/he will monitor the status of the implementation of the agreed initiatives with the government counterparts. The Supply Chain Innovation Specialist works with private and public sector stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of new supply chain initiatives for better outcomes. Job Requirement
Advanced degree in public health, supply chain, pharmacy or a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in supply chain management
Demonstrated ability and experience in implementation and design of new supply chain initiatives in public or private sector.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, culturally diverse environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, communication skills, training experience, ability to identify and resolve policy and operational constraints.
Self-motivated, strong initiative
Demonstrated ability to manage and implement complex USAID-funded public health programs or projects in a developing country context.
