Malaria Consortium is one of the world's leading non-profit organizations dedicated to the comprehensive control of malaria and other communicable diseases, including management of childhood diseases in Africa and Southeast Asia. Malaria Consortium works with communities, government and non-government agencies, academic institutions, and local and international organizations, to ensure good evidence supports delivery of effective services, providing technical support for monitoring and evaluation of programmes and activities for evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. Program Overview:
TRANSFORM/Primary Health Care Unit (PHCU) is a USAID funded project to improve healthcare outcomes to End Preventable Child and Maternal Deaths (EPCMD) in Ethiopia, which in turn support Government of Ethiopia’s efforts within the Health Sector Transformation Plan (HSTP). TRANSFORM/PHCU will operate in the four most populous regions of Ethiopia (Amhara, Oromia, Tigray and Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region). Pathfinder is the prime organization and Malaria Consortium is one of the implementing partners of TRANSFORM/PHCU.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to support the development of malaria strategy, tools and materials for the TRANSORM/PHCU program. S/He provides technical assistance to the implementing regions and to Partners; and coordinate overall malaria activities.
