Job Purpose
Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leading of a team of empty and full product stores in receiving and dispatching of empties and full products on time, accurately and efficiently. The Team Lead will contribute in maintaining and improving the department’s performance and practices of the Empty & Full Warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for directing the warehouse crew on daily tasks.
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the empty and full product warehouses.
Ensure on time and in full execution of tasks by the Warehouse Coordinators in the different shifts.
Assuring control of the operations also in shifts in which the WH Team leader is not present himself.
Ensure proper handover of work between the different shifts.
Keep track of own and outsourced manpower in warehousing, including FTE applied and cost
Training and Safety – Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel through consistent support of the company’s SHE policy.
Ensure that empties and packaging materials are available for continuous Bottling and keg line running.
Ensure adequate space is made available in Full Product Store for receipt of finished products.
Liaise with Quality Control Department for prompt products release from Quality Inspection.
Monitor production/BBE dates (Adherence to FIFO) to check distress.
Notify manager of any delays or problems before and/or during production.
Assist department manager in tracking absences, vacation time, and hours worked of the hourly trade personnel.
Document all receipts, transfers and issues of stock. Ensure that all the goods movements are done with properly authorized documents with zero tolerance of delay.
Ensure defective bottles/crates are sorted out. Check for damages/shortages stock levels and prepare report.
Ensure accurate and timely rendition of Empty and Full Product Store returns.
Ensure physical count of Empty and Finished products stock on regular basis.
Must be able to work flexible hours; days, afternoons, midnights, overtime and weekends as necessary.
Compile and submit the daily, monthly, etc…. reports on timely basis
Experience and skill required
Education: BA Degree in Purchasing and supplies Management, Management, Accounting, Economics or in other related field of study from a recognized University Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing Language: very good command of English & Amharic Computer: basic skills (Windows, Word and Excel) Other relevant information
