ZOA Relief/Hope| Recovery is an international NGO registered with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Charities and Societies Agency as Foreign Charity under registration certificate number 0739 to work in the fields of emergency relief and recovery operations to support the lives of refugees, returnees, internally displaced and victims of conflicts and natural disasters. It existed since 1973 worldwide, and 1993 in Ethiopia.
The organization is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the following position
Summary of the Position:
This post is important and in line with ZOA Ethiopia strategic plan particularly food security and livelihood interventions. In addition to this the post will help ZOA Ethiopia to assist the implementation of livelihood activities including business skills training, vocational skills training, and income generating activities that focused on youth on the move in Dollo Addo area.
Typical Responsibilities - Key end Results of the Position:*
Undertake capacity need assessment and capacity building initiatives with regards to entrepreneurship, business development and vocational skills for young people on the move
Undertake targeting and registration of beneficiaries and assessments under the guidance of livelihood/IGA officer
Undertake community mobilization and stakeholder sensitization at Kebele and Woreda levels
Liaise and coordinate with local leadership, community members and traditional leadership on project implementation at kebele and woreda level.
Undertake regular interface with project beneficiaries and get feedback on ZOA livelihood programming at community and local level
Provide regular updates and reports to livelihood officer, Program Coordinator on project implementation progress, challenges and applicable solutions
Ensure active participation of youth women as well as disabled youth persons in project implementation cycle
Hands on field experience, PRA and communication skills essential
Knowledge and experience of working on market related component of livelihood such as value chain management etc.
Excellent training and counterpart development skill
Demonstrated collaborative approach including working with Government officials with good negotiation skills, diplomacy and tact
Experience of working effectively with international or local agency in Dollo Addo and fluency in writing and speaking Somali language is essential.
Relevant qualification background – diploma in Agriculture / Social science
