Objective 1 : Support Woreda health offices and health facilities in the implementation and follow-up of the National HMIS Guidelines:
Support in the identification and quantification of basic HMIS materials/tools needed as per the National HMIS Guidelines;
· Give guidance and follow up the proper use of HMIS tools at facility level and in collaboration with specific departments;
· Ensure the quality and timeliness of HMIS reports at all levels;
· Monitor and support HMIS reporting according to the established hierarchal reporting system;
· Support the maintenance of computer and specific software (e-HMIS);
· Support the health staff in the use of information generated through the HMIS;
· Cooperate with all IPs supporting HMIS such as JSI and Tulane University;
· Ensure the functionality Performance Review Team (PMT) established at facility and Woreda health office levels
· Provide technical support and supervision to PMTs;
· Support and monitor the implementation of Community Health Information System (CHIS) at health posts level;
· Identify any problem in the implementation of the manual and e-HMIS and propose solutions;
Objective 2: Team management: (related to ACF staff)
Objective 3: Data management, reporting and program
Development;
· Report on activities on a regular basis through APR format /other activity-specific templates and update the Health & Nutrition Program manager on the status of the program and performance
· Ensure the quality, completeness and timeliness of reports
Objective 4: Represent the organization in relation with the project to the local authorities and other partners:
· Represent ACF in different forums and meetings as needed
· Liaise with the authorities, IPs, committees and other beneficiaries
Upholds the image and values of ACF at all times,
Educational / Professional Background: Diploma / Level of studies:
BSc degree/ Diploma in Health Information Technology (HIT) or Information Technology (IT) or different fields of health sciences and training on HMIS ( Basic HMIS & e-HMIS) with a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in HMIS
Required skills:
Patience, good relations with other people, good capacity to work in a team, capacity to manage priorities, precision, capacity to share knowledge and train colleagues, willingness to work under pressure and extra hours, extremely flexible, able to work independently, have the ability to cope with stressful situations, good organizational and interpersonal skills, ability and willingness to work in remote areas. Good knowledge of the National HMIS Guidelines including the e-HMIS Knowledge of computer & software maintenance. English (fluent)).
