Main function:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working alongside an existing Human Resources Officer, responsible for the provision of comprehensive guidance on all HR matters for dedicated areas of the business
Role responsibilities:
· Working closely with line managers, assisting them to understand and implement policies and procedures and employment legislation
· Updating and maintaining employee records
· Managing attendance and associated issues
· Advising management and staff on a wide range of HR related matters
· Handling of disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances of staff
· Lead and manage various HR projects as directed by the Human Resources Manager and in line with HR objectives
· Managing absenteeism through absence management policy for both short and long term absence in line with HR objectives.
· Contractual administration.
· Making sure that staff get paid correctly and on time
· Organizing staff training sessions and activities
· Monitoring staff performance and attendance
· Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
· Excellent knowledge of current Ethiopian employment legislation
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Ability to work in, and adapt to, a rapidly changing environment
Qualification:
v BA Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Business Management, & Management
Work Experience:
v Minimum of 2 years’ proven working experience
v Experience gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is a plus
Language Skills:
v Very good command of Oromifa, English and Amharic
Computer Skills:
v Sound working knowledge of Microsoft packages
