Haramaya University is a national leader in agricultural training and research in Ethiopia, and the epicenter of outreach activities in agriculture and biodiversity in the country.
The university has recently won a competitive World Bank grant for establishing an African Centre of Excellence in Climate Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity Conservation (Climate SABC). The project is aimed at producing skilled human capital to tackle challenges posed by climate change through quality post-graduate training and research in partnership with universities across the Eastern and Southern Africa region as well as with institutions of higher learning other parts of the World. PhD and MSc students will be admitted mainly from African countries. The project also aims at enhancing and upgrading facilities pertinent to improve quality of education including field and laboratory facilities as well as ICT infrastructure.

The Procurement and Property Management Officer will liaise with the University’s Procurement, Finance and Property Management Director in overseeing, reporting, and ensuring transparent and timely Procurement of goods and services and property management.
