Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Humanitarian Director to be based in Country Office.
Working with the team, the post holder is responsible for The Humanitarian Director leads and manages the emergency team and is the interface between the team, Head of Programmes and the Country Director. The post holder aggressively strategizes and positions Plan Ethiopia to respond to emergencies and disasters in areas of operation and new areas when necessary. The post holder oversees and supervises program development, planning, implementation, monitoring, resource mobilization, networking, coordinating, documenting, dissemination; advocating and also responsible for the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s emergency response within his/her designated area of responsibility.
Master’s Degree in Disaster Management, Social Sciences and related field of studies and ten years of relevant experience and at least five years in managing emergency response in the country or internationally. Field experience in emergency response is essential.
