JOB TITLE: Communications Advisor – Ethiopia PHIA, ICAP in Ethiopia
LOCATION: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
ICAP at Columbia University is an international non-profit organization that aims to ensure the wellness of families and communities by strengthening health systems around the world.
ICAP, in partnership with the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is planning to conduct a Population Based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA) to estimate the population-level impact of the national HIV prevention, care and treatment programs in Ethiopia. In addition to providing important programmatic information to the EPHI/FMoH and relevant stakeholders, the HIV impact assessment is of great value to HIV researchers and public health experts around the world.
OVERALL JOB FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Ethiopia PHIA Project Director, the Communications Advisor will develop content for and ensure the implementation of the EPHIA communications and community mobilization strategy.
RESPONIBILITIES
Coordinate and ensure implementation of project and survey communication strategy, including communications at national, regional, district levels and community mobilization at community levels;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
· Frequent travel to regions where survey will be conducted
