JOB SUMMARY
ROLE PURPOSE:
Total Inventory Management (TIM) is a new warehousing management system rolled out globally to all SCI warehouse locations as part of the SCI Supply Chain Improvement Project. The purpose of this project is to improve accuracy of stock management data as well as drive improvements in working practices across the SCI supply chain.
The TIM Support Specialist will be in charge of administering, maintaining and ensuring the smooth operations and functionality as well as roll out of SC Ethiopia’s TIM software for stock management. Provides technical support for all Save the Children Ethiopia field offices with all available or projected computer applications; administer; maintains and ensures the proper functionality of TIM. S/He will also ensures that all relevant staff understand and know how to implement this software in their respective field offices.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
TIM Implementation
Review Ethiopia Country Office TIM implementation status and to resolve the TIM post go-live challenges.
provide a step-by-step guide of how to use the TIM System in everyday warehouse management activities to all TIM designated staff members
Ensure that all TIM’s full set of functionalities to enable the Country office as well as field offices to manage their stocks. These functionalities allow the offices to receive and record stock in TIM as well as manage stock releases to programs/beneficiaries.
Ensure proper interaction between TIM data and agresso via the built in interface between the two systems.
Identify a “TIM champion” in each hub office and provide extra training to her/him, including a support/implementation visit to their warehouses
Advise and develop with country office on implementation strategies
In collaboration with Country Head of Supply Chain, Supplies, commodity and Warehouse service Manager, Support Operations Director, and Operations Director, identify potential gaps or needs (i.e.: IT equipment, internet, TIM trainings …) and accordingly potential resolutions to these needs.
Develop with Supplies, Commodity and Warehouse Service Manager and Head of Supply Chain and the TIM champions, an action plan with clear activities and deadlines; including a reporting schedule
Provide a comprehensive report to Supplies, Commodity and Warehouse Service Manager and Head of Supply Chain, Operations Director and to Country Office Finance as required.
Develops and maintains any necessary documentation related to the TIM systems administration or managements;
Monitoring and support
Report to the region and centre stakeholders on progress or issues
Ensure that each field offices are following their action plans and report in a timely manner.
Capacity Building
With the support of the Supplies, Commodity and warehouse Service Manager, and Regional TIM Specialist, identify field locations with the higher needs.
Accordingly, prepare a training schedule in collaboration with field offices
Organize a workshop in all field locations with relevant stakeholder
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Supply Chain Management/ IT/ Accounting/ Management/ Business Management or related fields. (For Degree holders in IT/Accounting/ Management/ Business Management or related fields, diploma/certificate in supply chain management is a requirement. For Degree holders in Supply chain Management, Diploma/Certificate in IT is a requirement).
EXPEREINCE
8 years progressive practical experience in IT and web based Supply Chain management in a corporate or an NGO environment, including field operations experience.
Robust experience of warehousing and inventory procedures and processes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.

PERCENTAGE OF TRAVEL
