Job purpose
Ensure the required availability for the production process of process automation and computerisation systems at the lowest possible cost and taking into account both legal and Heineken’s regulations. Determine the policy and master plan in the fields of process automation and process computerisation within the brewery.
Key responsibilities
Create a safe and a hygienic environment and ensure 5S during all maintenance activities
Support the Technical Manager in preparing training needs analysis and develop training plans accordingly; monitor that training delivers the expected results
Support the technological team to minimise extract losses
Extract and analyse automation data
Support (24h, 7 day per week together with electrical engineer) corrective maintenance in automation and process control by evaluation, troubleshooting support and knowledge transfer
Manage software modifications, backups, parameter registration and version control
Manage software licences and versions
Train and assess the performance of shift technicians and automation technicians with regards to solving automation issues
Support inventory requirements for automation and process control
Prepare, engineer, execute and evaluate required software or automation modifications
Participate in TPM PM teams for breakdowns and short-stops reduction
Develop a maintenance policy and a master plan on automation
Support the engineering manager in development of the automation contingency plan (obsoletes management)
Organize thirds party services with regards to automation support (e.g. “teleservice” and emergency support)
Support the production team in translation of technical requirements
Experience & skills required
Education: (level) bachelor or master in electrical or industrial engineering
Experience: 5-8 years in technical operations, 3 years in leadership role
Language: English C1
Computer: basic skills (Windows, Word and Excel)
