Zebidar Brewery is an International share company, established in 2012 and Partly owned by UNIBRA, part of a family holding company, active on the African continent and owners of one of the big beer brands in Africa, SKOL. The Brewery is constructed on 15 hectares of land in Gubre (SNNPR) .
Job Mission
Build from scratch, lead and motivate a high performance sales and distribution organization to effectively plan and deliver on the business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and implement effective sales strategies and lead national sales team to achieve the sales objectives.
- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
- Provide sales management, budget control and incentive planning.
- Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of the sales and distribution teams.
- Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews
- Proactively identify changes and competitive pressures in the alcohol market to develop and modify strategies/tactics accordingly. Monitor and report on competitor activity/strategy.
- Prepare and manage to exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Develop and grow key customer and distributor relationships.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments in the business (Marketing, Finance, Production, I.T.), to address key business issues and opportunities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/commerce, marketing or related.
- MBA a plus
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, across wholesale and retail, with good supply chain knowledge.
- At least five years managing a national sales and distribution team with P&L responsibility.
Preferred:
A solid understanding of the Ethiopian alcohol (Beer) market - brands, operations, companies and technologies
