GIZ – Mechanization (AMTP) Project
In Ethiopia, GIZ has been working for more than 40 years in bilateral cooperation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian Government and International Donors.
The Mechanization project is financed by the German Development Cooperation and implemented by GIZ. The main objective of the project is to increase agricultural productivity through innovation. Mechanization (AMTP) project is part of the "Green Innovation Centre for Agriculture and Food – Ethiopia“, as contribution part of the German Special Initiative „One World no Hunger“. The project will work in the area of introducing improved agricultural mechanization on small scale farms in the Arsi zone. Establishment of training facilities and scaling-up is core duty of the project. The project is working closely with the Agricultural Training Center in Kulumsa, a research site of the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research.
In order to achieve its objectives, GIZ-mechanization project is looking a qualified candidate as per the below details.

Responsibilities:
Under the day to day supervision of the Office Manager, the Driver/Facilitator shall provide reliable and safe driving services with ensuring high accuracy of work.
The Driver/Facilitators demonstrate a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with the people of different national and cultural background.
Tasks:
Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents and/or security incidents;

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
· Completion of secondary education;
· 3rd grade driving license;
Experience:
·Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance;
·High sense of responsibility, reliability and good behavior;
·Minimum of 5 years of experience
·1st aid certificate
·Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair;
·Experience the use of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc) is desirable;
·Knowledge of GIZ rules and regulations.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
·Is service orientated
·Acts in all assignments with personal energy and engagement;
· Professional fluency in Amharic, good English
Other Requirement
·Possession of a valid driver’s license;
·Disciplined and punctuality;
·Stress tolerance and patience;
·Familiarity with area where the regional office is situated;
·Willingness for extra hours assignment;
