The Small Scale and Micro Irrigation Support Project (SMIS), with the funding support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Government of Canada is supporting the Ministry of Agriculture (MoANR) and Amhara, Tigray, SNNP and Oromia regional states in the capacity development for planning, design, construction and management of gender responsive SSI and micro irrigation schemes.
SMIS currently requires the services of a qualified and experienced expert in developing the organizational capacity of irrigation water users associations to sustainably manage SSI and MI schemes.
Job Description
The job entails developing the capacity of regional, zonal and woreda institutions in four target regions in formation and organizational development of IWUAs. It will include development of training modules, developing a comprehensive capacity development (CD) plan and supporting implementation of the CD by regional partner institutions.
Job Responsibility
Under the guidance of the SMIS Regional Team Leaders (RTLs), the IWUAE will:
