Key Responsibilities
Ø Issue sample fabric PO based on information such as fabric content, construction, and quantity and delivery date.
Ø Monitor sample fabric delivery, and take appropriate actions to compensate for any late deliveries.
Ø Monitor the fabric order quantity against historical records. Find out the root cause in case of quantity discrepancies and agree with relevant departments (e.g. MM) on the final order quantity.
Ø Ensure the fabric item setup matches with customer order information and yard yield (YY) matches that in the Cost Production Analysis (CPA) in M3.
Ø Release fabric PO then confirm the delivery date with the suppliers.
Ø Monitor bulk fabric delivery. Liaise with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of bulk fabric. Update M3, take appropriate actions and inform relevant parties for any late fabric deliveries
Ø Create and maintain fabric inventory report for replenishment and MTM orders. Submit the fabric inventory report to the customer as per the customer’s requirements.
Ø Monitor fabric inventory, follow-up with relevant departments, such as TGA or Project team and adjust subsequent fabric ordering quantity to minimize leftover. Regularly update the inventory control system and identify the reason of surplus fabric and the appropriate actions that need to be taken.
Ø Submit fabric delivery information to Logistics team for preparing documents and arranging for fabric transportation.
Ø Monitor the packing list from the supplier prior to bulk shipment and take necessary actions (e.g. reject over-shipment, request replacement fabric in case of short-shipment, prepare extra trims for production, etc.) in case the fabric quantity does not match the ordered quantity.
Ø Allocate fabric to cutting room and production to satisfy production needs within the relevant fabric allocation guidelines and policies.
Ø Education and experience: First degree in purchasing and supply chain management or any related field of studies and 3 years of relevant experience in garment industries.
