Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Wash Officer to be based at Oromia Program Area, Jimma.
The Role
The position primarily coordinates the implementation of WASH Projects which are being implemented in Kersa and Seka Chekorsa Districts of Jimma Zone, Oromia Region. S/he will provide technical support and systems coordination to the local government offices and experts for the implementation of quality WASH Project in accordance with Plan’s Child centered Community Development (CCCD) approach. He/she ensures that quality WASH project delivery is reflected within the entire project cycle and that all field program implementation is undertaken efficiently and effectively. He/she fulfils this responsibility through the organization and management of the sector by focusing mainly on improving sanitation and hygiene practices and expanding access to sustainable WASH facilities.
The Person
To be successful, applicants need to have a Bachelor’s Degree or above in Sanitary Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or related disciplines with at least four (4) years relevant experience in water supply and sanitation development, construction supervision and hygiene promotion; and NGO experience is advantageous.

Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development.
Knowledge of effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Research systems and processes
