Position Summary:
The Deputy Chief of Party will provide technical and managerial support to the project activities for ENVISION and Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention (MMDP) USAID-supported projects; which span the regions of Oromia, Tigray, Beneshangul-Gumuz and Gambella. The role include extensive technical support to the Ethiopia Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH). As RTI is constantly advocating for and securing greater NTD support in Ethiopia, the Deputy Chief of Party will also help manage any new NTD projects started during his/her tenure
The Deputy Chief of Party supervises and mentors Project Managers and Officers, the Finance Manager, and seconded staff to the government to implement project activities and ensure effective project management including the submission of each project’s deliverables and contractual obligations on a timely basis. He/she will also help manage RTI’s sub-grantees in the country and ensure that they remain financially compliant and achieve promised deliverables. The position is based in Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to the regions.
