General Assessment
• This is an exciting and innovative new project to help improve the mental well-being of South Sudanese refugees fleeing violence and food insecurity and now residing in a refugee camp near Gambella Town.
• You will be responsible in helping set-up the project, recruiting a team of staff and working with the local population and other NGO’s in the camp to identify and provide psychological assistance and support to improve the mental health of the camp population.
• We are looking for someone with a psychological background who understands who can supervise and implement the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Implementation and monitoring of all Psychological Distress Program (PDP) activities
2. Management of the PDP team
3. Coordination
4. Liaise with Administrative and Logistic Management for the program
· Ensure that confidentiality of data, property of project beneficiaries and of ACF is strictly respected.
· Respect confidentiality of clinical interviews apart from dealings with the psychologists in charge
Educational / Professional Background: Bachelor Degree in Psychology with at least five years of relevant clinical experience working with individuals or groups with mental health.
