The international network of Action Against Hunger is represented in Paris, London, Madrid, Montreal and New York. Teams in the field combat hunger on 4 fronts: nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation.
For our Health and Nutrition Department in Sekota, we are currently looking for the following professional:Health Management Information System: - Female/Male
Work Base: sekota
Availability: As Soon As Possible
Project Duration: Six Month
General Assignment: Support Government staff and Action Against Hunger Health and Nutrition team for the smooth and accurate running of the Health & Nutrition program through planning, capacity building and supervision following the national Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Community Health Information System (CHIS) guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Objective 1: Support Woreda health offices and health facilities in the implementation and follow-up of the National HMIS Guidelines:
Objective 2: Team management: (related to Action Against Hunger staff)
Objective 3: Data management, reporting and program
Development;
Objective 4: Represent the organization in relation with the project to the local authorities and other partners:
Educational / Professional Background: Diploma / Level of studies:
BSc degree/ Diploma in Health Information Technology (HIT) or Information Technology (IT) or different fields of health sciences and training on HMIS ( Basic HMIS & e-HMIS) with a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in HMIS
Required skills:
Patience, good relations with other people, good capacity to work in a team, capacity to manage priorities, precision, capacity to share knowledge and train colleagues, willingness to work under pressure and extra hours, extremely flexible, able to work independently, have the ability to cope with stressful situations, good organizational and interpersonal skills, ability and willingness to work in remote areas. Good knowledge of the National HMIS Guidelines including the e-HMIS Knowledge of computer & software maintenance. English (fluent)).
