Job Summary
The Assistant Logistics Manager (ALM), an exciting position for Digital Green - Ethiopia, will bring creative problem-solving skills and will be a great support to the in-country team as a whole.
S/he will primarily report to the Director-Finance & Administration. The successful candidate will require minimum supervision, take initiative, and remain complaint of donor and organization rules and regulations while administering their job duties. S/he will support the coordination of all Logistics, Procurement, and Fleet arrangement and service needs of Digital Green.
S/he is expected to be proactive and take initiative, be a team player, strong negotiator and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position will require strong support capabilities and a solution-oriented mindset as logistics support can be demanding in nature. S/he is also required to equip his/her self with coordination and implementation skills as the position will help coordinate project support activities in collaboration with Technical teams and F&A team. A customer-service mindset in supporting the team’s diverse needs in a timely and efficient manner is of paramount importance to the success of someone in this role.
The Incumbent will be flexible, supportive, and agile and will be able to adjust to systemic changes and developments with minimum effort. S/he shall have high interpersonal skills in team collaboration, i.e. understanding of the compliances and the ability to manage ad hoc logistical requests. ALM will actively assist the technical team building awareness around processes and procedures that take compliance into account.
The ideal candidate will also be able to produce regular reports and conduct analysis to share with the supervisor. They will be able to capture data, develop tools, and reconcile different sets of data (real vs. actual, travel days, etc.).
