1. Logistics Operations/Mechanic · Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and Generators & equipment assigned to IMC Field Office in Boqlomayo. · Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturers specifications. · Maintains a complete inventory system through recording of all expenditures of each vehicle, maintenance equipment gasoline, repair parts, supplies, etc. · Monitors user departments by analysis of vehicle and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications. · Assists with the development of specifications for vehicles and equipment to be used by IMC. · Welds; replaces parts; repairs parts; repairs electrical systems; diagnoses vehicles for minor body and fender work; performs tune ups and engine overhauls; troubleshoots problems when needed. · Keeps maintenance and repair records; performs preventive maintenance on all vehicles; orders repair parts. · Checks all repair work performed in work shop for completeness. This includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicle is turned back to user departments. · Perform related duties as required. 2.Fleet · Ensures implementation of monthly vehicle allocation plan · Prepares gate pass for authorization of vehicle movement on daily basis · Ensures timely departure and return of vehicles to and from project sites · Make necessary adjustments on urgent and unexpected demands for vehicle allocation · Ensures vehicle assignment to provide service to incoming and outgoing staff for training, R&R, medication and other cases as necessary · Ensures vehicle is assigned for special supervision purposes on request. · Ensures parts that are required for preventative regular services of vehicles and generators are available in store and reordering levels are respected · Ensures that tires and tubes are available in store and reordering level is respected · Raises PRs for purchase of spare parts in accordance with availability of budget, get approvals · Ensures that issue and utilization of spare parts are proper done · Ensures that tires numbers and current ending KMs of the vehicles are registered when tires are issued for replacement · Ensures that used tires and spare parts are kept in safe place until disposal decisions are made. 4.Generator · Putting Generator ON and OF · Follow up generator working time and fueling. · Keep records of fueling neatly and properly. · Keep the generator area clean · Assist the store keeper in refilling vehicles · Keep proper records of refilling as per the format and instruction from the supervisor
5.Compliance · Ensure compliance with IMC policies and procedures, donor regulations and local laws.
6. Human Resources
· Provide input to the recruitment, selection and performance of drivers as required.
7. Training/ Capacity Building · Advocate and plan for professional development for all drivers · Provide input, and deliver where applicable, training for relevant staff to increase their responsibilities in order to build capacity, and ensure sustainability of programs
