Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Electric Reach Truck and Standby Generator Maintenance Technician to travel to a GHSC PSM implementing partner’s nine regional branch offices outside of Addis Ababa and two offices in Addis Ababa to diagnose the faults of the electric reach trucks and standby generators and identify interventions including a list of necessary spare parts required to put the electric reach trucks and standby generators back into operation.

The Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management Ethiopia
Background
The purpose of the Global Health Supply Chain– Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC- PSM) Program is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of United States Government (USG)-funded public health initiatives around the world. The project provides direct procurement and supply chain management support to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and Population and Reproductive Health. In supporting USG-funded global health activities, GHSC-PSM will develop and manage a wide array of services for health commodity procurement and related systems strengthening technical assistance encompassing different elements of a comprehensive supply chain.
At the country level, GHSC-PSM supports country strategies and priorities that fall under the following three project objectives:
• Global Commodity Procurement and Logistics
• Systems Strengthening Technical Assistance
• Global and local collaboration to improve long-term availability of health commodities.
Purpose
The Electric Reach Truck and Standby Generator Maintenance Technician is required to travel to GHSC PSM implementing partner’s nine branch offices outside Addis Ababa and two offices with in Addis Ababa and diagnose the faults of the electric reach trucks and standby generators and identify interventions including list of spare parts required to put them back into operation.
Level of Effort and Location
This is a short-term consultancy service to assess 22 electric reach trucks and 12, 25KVA standby generators and develop interventions including list spares, and include travel throughout the program’s target regions.
Supervision
The Electric Reach Truck and Standby Generator Maintenance Technician will report directly to the GHSC-PSM designated person.
Job Requirement
Diploma in electricity or electrotechnical works or related areas
Minimum of three (5) years of experience in maintenance of electric reach trucks and standby generators.
Proven experience carrying out repairs work in USAID projects.
Demonstrated ability to work with cooperating partners in carrying out repair works.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the regions of Ethiopia.
