EPHA is a legally registered national, independent, not-for-profit, voluntary professional association established in 1989 with a vision to attainment of the highest possible standard of health for all Ethiopians. EPHA has recently retained a survey management sub-grant with the International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Program (ICAP) at Columbia University in support of the Ethiopia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (EPHIA) project. The EPHIA project estimates the population-level impact of the national HIV prevention, care and treatment programs in Ethiopia to provide a better understanding of national and sub-national HIV epidemic trends and population-level program achievements.
As part of this effort, EPHA would like to hire experienced Community Mobilization Coordinator who would coordinate community mobilization activities of the survey at field level. The Community Mobilization Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support to the EPHIA project team and partners in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of community mobilization activities. Technical support will also be required in designing package and implementing HIV BCC activities, collecting and documenting relevant case studies, and process documentation as part of disseminating project’s effectiveness. S/he is expected to work in close coordination and maintain good working relationship with Woreda /District Health Offices, NGO partners, government-line agencies, and other stakeholders in the district for the smooth operation of EPHIA activities. S/he will represent the EPHIA Project in the district and play a key role in providing technical support to counterpart and support partners in close coordination with Project coordinators and the team.
