Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA) is a professional Association established in 1992. The Association envisioned seeing every mother, newborn, family and communities have standard midwifery care in Ethiopia through promoting midwifery profession, strengthening midwifery education and maintaining rules and regulation to protect midwife professionals and Ethiopian public. The Association has been implementing different projects in line to its four strategic areas: capacity building, partnership and networking, advocacy and representation, research and publication (to influence policies and evidence based decisions) in Ethiopia
Develop training plan of action and prepare budget based on the plan
Facilitate the implementation of planned activities through proper coordination, provision of technical support
Organize and facilitate any type of trainings related with reproductive, maternal & newborn health as per the plan and prepare training reports
Organize and conduct need based training for health workers at various health facilities
Report on project progress and communicate relevant information including monthly, quarterly and annual report to project manager.
Create smooth relationship with trainees, government bureaus and other partners at different level.
Take part in program planning, proposal writing, documenting best practices and monitoring project activities
Collaborate with RHBs hospitals and health center when the training is conducted
Collaborate with all program and technical staffs of Transform: PHC better out come on the overall implementation of the program
Collaborate, coordinate and participate in any Transform:PHC’s related activities as per the annual work plan of the project and additional assignments from partners, FMOH and RHBs as needed
Coordinate and create a link among regional HBs, chapter offices and zonal representatives in relation with the training and other EMwA activities
Ensure post training follow up visit and performance review meetings were conducted
Execute any roles and responsibilities assigned by his/her immediate supervisor
MPH, MSC Or BSC in Midwifery and other health related field like Nursing, Public Health officer with Midwifery background
Minimum of 5 /7 years of experience in clinical practice and teaching at higher teaching institution and in-depth understanding of international & National reproductive, maternal and newborn health
Knowledge and experience in standard Midwifery care and practice and extensive experience in MNH service provision.
Having BEmONC TOT is mandatory and other trainings like FP, PMTCT, effective and clinical teaching skills is more advantageous
Good Interpersonal communication skills
NGO experience is advantageous
Computer literate and good creative skills
Fluent in English both written and verbal
