Duty Station: Zeway Project
Duration of Contract: One year contract (Renewable with 45 days probation period)

Basic Responsibilities:
Make sure that children’s Intellectual, Physical, Spiritual and Social development well addressed for holistic development;
Manages all the component activities in line with the donors’ requirements;
Initiates, encourages and advises all social workers towards having meaningful relationship with sponsored children, churches, families and community leaders.
Follows up the progress over time, the accomplishment of home visits, tutorial classes and Sunday school programs against the project plan;
Prepares rewards for the best performing sponsored children on Academic, Sunday school, Sports and Arts contests on the basis of the report from a team leader.
Organizes the CDP day and Christmas celebrations to meet the need of the sponsored children and also according to the CDP manual,
Helps the project manager in building the capacity of the project staff to internalize Corporate Identity, CDP manual, VMV and other relevant materials;
Organizes and invites qualified trainers for all trainings on leaders, families and churches under CDP,
Prepares training plan, curricula and organizes training manuals for all the trainings related to leaders, families and churches,
Initiates, encourages and advises all social workers towards having meaningful relationship with children, churches, families and community leaders.
Encourages all workers under the supervision for better achievement in managing and handling the activities to be performed with families, leaders and local churches according to the program plan,
Conduct monthly review meetings with all OVCDP social workers so as to discuss accomplishments, problems encountered and seek possible solutions together.
Ensure that each staff under the OVCDP program is performing his/her duties and is working to the best of his/her abilities.
Ensure that performance evaluation is conducted periodically for all staff under supervision, and that the form is completed and submitted to the project manager as per personnel rules and regulation.
Prepares annual plan of action and budget with other staffs in the project;
Prepares monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annual reports (for Head Office, BoFED, DPPC and NOs) including impacts, problems encountered and solutions proposed and submits to the project manager on time.
Prepares beneficiary profiles and other success stories and submits to the project manager on time;
Prepares plan of action and budget for the component;
Ensures that the component activities are being implemented in accordance with the project annual operational plan.
Observes any changes within the project for impacts (both positive/negative) in the community and records them for self-monitoring and evaluation.
Monitors progress of children in the program Intellectually, Spiritually, Socially and Physically and communicate with project manager;
Conduct monthly review meetings with centre supervisors and social workers so as to discuss accomplishments, problems encountered and seek possible solutions together.
Encourages all workers under the component for better achievement in managing and handling the activities to be performed with families, leaders and local churches according to the project action plan;
Job Requirement
Education – B.A in Education or related field of study
Experience – Three years of relevant work experience in a similar position preferably in a similar program or NGO.
