The Ethiopian Customs and Revenues Authority is a merged institute of the previously known as Revenue Minister, Local Revenues Authority and Ethiopian Customs Authority in the year 2000. Previously, the institution had been doing its tax and custom administration in a scattered manner but for the last some years, it has become a collective institute in order to provide service to the public in using limited labor, material and cash resources in a way that is economical and effective.
The vision of the institute is “To see African first standard modern and fair tax administration which can cover the national expenditure by our national income in the year 2025." The mission is "to create a culture of voluntary payroll, a professional competency that will enforce the law, and a system of modern taxation and tax administration. Ensuring efficient and cost effective national revenue for national development. "

Since the establishment of the Institute, there has been encouraging activity in collecting the necessary revenue to achieve the national development plan so far. The success of authority's tax and customs duties are based on the best accomplished professionals which are assigned on various fields.
Since customs and taxation has a worldwide characteristic, the authority gives the necessary attention to the manpower requirement on different profession, Knowledge and skill maturity, ethical standard, civic attitudes and preparedness.
It becomes mandatory to equip the manpower of the Authority with advanced technology for better efficiency to successfully handle its responsibilities related with tax and custom administration.

Professional experience and trainings:
6 years of direct work experience and acquired training on management systems (Oracle, MS SQL) and is supportive and coordination skill, have a well-developed team work sprite and leadership skills.
