The Audio-Visual Engineer will provide technical support to our Oromo People Democratic organization (OPDO)Conference rooms,on the meeting he/she will technically control the well going of the meeting up to the end and will work as a full time job in Oromo People Democratic organization compound .The ideal candidate must be capable of conversing with non-technical employees to understand their technical issues and concerns, providing a permanent resolution for the employee’s computer or audio related issue.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Solid understanding of a wide range of A/V technologies, including control systems, video conferencing, audio conferencing, cameras, microphones (wireless and handheld), projectors, and other electronics related to the role
· Ability to diagnose system problems within our A/V integrated systems
· Familiarized with netlinx and CoCon control programs, touch panels and digital signal processors
· Perform routine maintenance and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, DSPs, and Displays
· Responsible for identifying defective or failed equipment and take ownership to resolution
· Accountable to provide sound problem determination and resolution, document methodologies, thorough knowledge of voice/data network management, execute hardware and software installations, and performance tuning and recovery
· Ability to work independently with general supervision
· Proven ability to provide clear and consistent documentation
· Provide clear, consistent, and accurate documentation and operation manuals
· Maintain understanding of current and new technology in the A/V industry
· Work with vendors in helping to resolve audio visual related issues that affect equipment availability as well as new sites and collaborative rooms
· Responsible for performing routine maintenance check of AV systems and devices
· Provide analysis and technical solutions to a variety of problems that are routinely encountered under normal activities
· Drive the creation and enhancement of all onsite documentation (including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Collaborative Room handbooks) ensure documentation processes and procedures are maintained in accordance with team requirements
· Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and all internal departments to deliver a high level of service
· 3+ years’ experience in AV Support (Camera, Speaker, conference systems, delegate microphone, projector, digital signal processor, wireless devices etc.) and working in a technical support environment.
· Experience working with audio visual and solutions such CoCon, Netlinx and strongly works in different conference halls.
· Basic IT knowledge,
· Strong analytical, problem solving skills; ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
· Experience with troubleshooting basic level audio visual
· Exemplary attendance and punctuality
· Experience with Cisco ,Encoders/decoders, cameras and bridges
· Experience supporting video/webcast/live stream over LAN and WLAN networks
· Troubleshooting network load and bandwidth issues related to conference system
· Technical proficiency with the Windows
· Proficient with the use of Microsoft PowerPoint
· Experience with troubleshooting basic level networking issues
Preferred Qualifications:
· Demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning and innovative thinking
· Experience with ServiceNow Service Desk is a plus.
