Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) for reparation of Development of referral Directory
EOI No. SEUHP/ Referral Directory
Strengthening Ethiopia’s Urban Health Program (SEUHP) is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). John Snow, Inc. (JSI) is the prime implementer in close partnership with Federal Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureaus and City/Town Health Offices. Addis Ababa University and Emmanuel Development Association are national implementing partners. SEUHP aims to improve the health status of the urban population in Ethiopia by reducing HIV/TB-related Maternal, Neonatal and Child morbidity and mortality, and by reducing the incidence of communicable and non-communicable diseases. SEUHP currently works in 49 cities/towns across five regions; Amhara, Harar, Oromiya, South People Nations and Nationalities and Tigiray and two city administrations; Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa.
The objective of SEUHP is to strengthen the GoE’s UHEP by improving the quality, use and management of community-level urban health and related services. One of the key aspects of the program is to support the linkage between the community level health services with the other health and social services for the continuum of care and services through referral. Thus, it is essential to have a complete list/ profile of the existing health and other social services providers in the respective towns so that the Urban Health Extension Professionals (UHE-ps) to effectively refer and link their clients with the required care and services. To this end, SEUHP plans to develop a referral directory that consist all the required health and social services provides in the respective towns.
