Job Summary
The Micro-franchise Specialist (Rural Micro-Enterprise for Women) will lead an exciting and innovative strategy for off-farm employment (door to door sales of consumer goods) for women in the rural highlands. As a member of the Livelihoods for Resilience project team, s/he responsible for coordinating and supporting micro-franchise activities and leading the planning and monitoring of the field activities and partnership with implementers and selected private sector partners. The Micro-franchise Specialist conducts market assessments on product demand, consumer behaviors, distribution channels, and identification of companies who are producing fast moving consumable goods suitable for saleswomen working in remote rural areas. S/he is responsible for managing relationships with private sector partners. S/he works closely with implementing partners to identify capacity building needs for staff and the saleswomen and provides technical training and support in project implementation. S/he leads periodic review meetings and reports the status and progress to supervisors and partners. S/he also participates in regular project technical and management meetings, including those related to M&E. S/he will ensure that the project interventions are performed as planned and that lessons are documented.
